Binge Eating in Obesity - a one day Masterclass
Food is ruling my life. I wish I could just take it or leave it,
but its never enough -
client, 1999
People with weight problems who binge eat are likely to have serious difficulties trying to lose weight. Even if they do, they are sensitive to relapse, and are therefore unlikely to maintain weight loss. The emotional difficulties they may have just dealing with their weight problems are compounded by the shame and guilt of feeling out of control around food.
The DSM4 classification of eating disorders describes Binge Eating Disorder under the category EDNOS (Eating Disorders Not Otherwise Specified). But far more people binge than those who fit this category, and as a result they struggle with excess weight. This master class has been designed to help you understand and work with these problems. It is suitable for all professionals and lay people who work with the overweight.
