DEANNE JADE Founder & Principal of NCFED
Deanne Jade is a psychologist and one of the first eating disorder specialists
in the UK; she has over 30 years of experience as therapist and trainer in
eating disorders, binge eating disorder, bulimia, anorexia, and obesity.
With a passionate commitment to this area of work, she has helped to
change the lives of thousands of people with disordered eating and weight control problems guiding them toward a deep and fulfilling experience of
being who they really are.
As both a therapist and trainer, she brings skill, personal congruence and sensitivity to her work with trainees, sufferers and also carers alike. As a trainer she has gained a national reputation for her knowledge and for her ability to communicate complex material with clarity and in a style that is easy to absorb.
She is also a member of many other professional organisations, such as the European Health Psychology Society and the National Obesity Forum as well as the All Party Parliamentary Group for Obesity. She has also contributed to the development of treatment guidelines for eating disorders and obesity by The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE).
She is a prolific writer and her pioneering work in the field of eating disorders has been featured extensively on TV, radio and in a vast range of national magazines and newspapers.
